I've had my Harveys block salt softener for about 5 years now, having moved it from my flat into my new house. In that time I've not had a single problem with it. I like the fact that I just put salt in and it never goes wrong, I don't think it looks particularly stylish compared to others, but having read others experiences with leaks and faults I definitely made the right choice (plus it's hidden inside a kitchen cupboard, not out on display). I use a pack of 2 salt blocks every 7 weeks or so which seems pretty fair. It wasn't the cheapest softener we looked at but I think it was worth it for not having had any problems, plus I like to buy British!!! Hope this helps anyone looking, I'd definitely buy from them again.
