I have rented with Holiday Autos for years and found everything was always fine so for my honeymoon I thought hey would be the right company to use. How wrong was I? As always I paid for everything up front including insurance. However when I arrived I was told by Europcar that insurance terms had changed and Holiday Autos insurance did not cover me completely. Apprently if I had an accident and anything happend to me I'd be left with no cover. So after a long conversation I agreed to buy the additional cover on the onus that I would get a receipt and charge this back to Holiday Autos. Europcar confirmed that this as happened a lot and if I sent my receipt to Holiday Autos they should refund me.
I was on my honeymoon so the last thing I wanted was to hold things up any further so I agreed and having been a customer of Holiday Autos for a number of years I stupidly assumed I would be treated with due care.

However upon my return I contacted Holiday Autos and they are refusing to repay the cost of the additional insurance and the claim that their insurance cover has not changed. They did say they were concerned that Europcar were stating the insurance had changed but still were not prepared to refund me with the difference and take it up with Europcar. I feel they are responsible for sorting this out with Europcar and refunding me, the customer, as soon as possible. I also think they should warn any other customers that this could happen again.

However Holiday Autos are obviously not interested in customer care and I personally will never use them again.
