mike walker's Review of Garden Groom Hedge Trimmer

I bought this hedge trimmer on the internet. Garden Groom Pro. £75 plus p&p.
It is the worst thing I have ever bought. I have a forsythia hedge this hedge cutter wont touch it. I would be better off using kitchen scissors. This trimmer may work on privet or some other very soft wood but I have my doubts. It will only take off an inch or two at the most. I have sent it back and asked for a refund.
If they had stated in their advertisement its limitations ie only soft woods 1" cut I wouldnt have bought one!

Like all people who use the internet to buy,you didnt seem to do any homework and check out their rather good website.
If you did you would have known that this is for trimming, not cutting. The machine is designed to trim short green growth, and it does that on all manner of hedges. The finish you can get is brilliant, and although it means more times to trim, you can shoot over it rather quickly and with no mess.
For woody growth you want a hedgecutter.Preferably with double reciprocating blades{like a pair of scissors!!!!}These will tackle the kind of job you have with ease.
