VICE 1000 VIDEO STABILIZER
Moving VHS video tapes from VCR player through VICE 1000 to hard-drive recorder very straight forward.
Moving DVD discs from Playstation 2 through VICE 1000 to hard-drive recorder also very straight forward.
The VICE 1000 needed an additional power feed/source to boost terminal eight when transferring DVD's.
Adapter for extra power employed to have an input of 240volt AC with the output of 9volt DC (+ positive) 500Mamp 2.5m/m female jack-plug, which fit's into Vice 1000 scart plug head.Recommended power 200-500Mamps output.

When transfering DVDs, transfer is limited to the film and any subtitles, with no apparent facility to have an interaction with the finished transferred DVD.
No degraded vision and sound, was obvious.
I needed extra scart leads to tailor my various set-ups, but bought cheap ones, which worked fine.

Have come across one video film where initial transfer of video to hard-drive is accepted through VICE 1000 unit, only to find twenty minutes into video 'Copy protection' message appears and recording is automatically stopped.
This is a first, will try to get a second video to elimate faulty video tape.?? 24/08/2009

Problem encountered with VICE 1000 increasing as to failed VHS and DVD transfer/recordings.
KTVision said my unit is slightly out of tolerance is the fault/cause, and have offered to help by checking my unit/sending replacement.

Until repeated breaks in recordings recently occured, no problem 100% whether DVD or VHS in transfer/recording.

I have reduced my video collection dramatically to DVD and the space the VHS tapes took, has to be seen to be believed.

Shall endeavour to get another VICE 1000 as a spare, as a precaution,to any further delays in my quest.LOL

If recording where a scene goes completely white, like in 'ICE AGE' or 'THE SIXTH SENSE' on VHS or DVD, interference becomes visible at top of screen, until the next non-white scene.
Recording is still completed, but with this added interference.
    Interference resembles a stretched bar-code.
