i purchased two boxes of medium brown CLAIROL Perfect 10 by Nice N' Easy as i have rather long hair and as i was making a rather drastic change from bleach blonde. i was a little concerned doing it myself as i did not want my hair to turn green, orange or purple as blonde hair is sometimes prone to doing. first, "dark brown" shades usually end up black and "medium brown" shades usually end up dark brown. i was right to purchase the "medium brown" as my hair did end up a really dark shade of brown. overall, i love it. it is exactly what it advertises... a perfect 10! the smell is much less harsh than that of other DIY hair colors. i might say that it is a little runny but that's not such a bad thing as it saturates the hair to eliminate splotches. total, my hair color cost me about $25. though it is a little pricier than most other DIY hair colors, it is definitely worth the money. a few extra dollars for a glossy, shiny, soft natural looking color. i doubt i'll be using anything else.
