I flew with Monarch in August 2009 from Manchester to Sanford (Orlando) with my family on a last minute booking.
The flights were on time and the aircraft was well staffed. The food was quite good for an economy airline. Baggage handling at both sides was good as was the efficiency of the check in staff.
On a negative side :
1. All drinks (except Tea / Coffee during meal service) had to be paid for : £1.60p for water, £1.00 for Coke, £3.50 for a small beer. Snacks were also available at a premium...so if you have kids, take crisps & sweets with you.
2. The seat pitch is poor and my wife found it very uncomfortable.
At the end of the day, Monarch offer good value for money and I would use them again if on a budget.
