Virgin Broadband www.virgin.net Review

Got a 'three for £30' package in late 2008 with Virgin Broadband so that my ageing mother could enjoy the old comedy programmes on the t.v. and I could use their 'fibre optic' broadband and the phone would be available to us both.

From day 1 things went wrong! Engineer turned up with wrong installation details. I had to provide my own Ethernet cable (though I got a 'free' month when I complained) and I've had several t.v. and broadband 'outages' since! Was with AOL 1996-2008 and had very few problems!

Lost my mom in November 2008 - will lose this service asap this year (2009)!

Finally, Virgin's 'fibre-optic' cables only go as far as the main street box so I'm told - from there on, its good old fashioned co-axial cable that connects you - makes this 'light speed' stuff a load of bo**ocks!

Wouldn't use them again.............
