I was a new customer - recently transferred my balance to HSBC Credit Card. On the day my payment was due, I tried to make a payment over the phone and/or on their Website. After the payment process, I was then told there would be a $15 charge because I was making the payment on the date due. THE DATE DUE!!!! I'm trying to make a payment on time and I'm being penalized????? I tried talking to customer service (India of course with horrible English skills) and was denied any flexibility. I am quickly looking for another card to transfer this balance again, simply because of this principle. In these bad economic times, it's amazing that HSBC is not trying to work with its customers.
