My policy is due for renewal next month and has gone up again (not made a claim previously though). I called Norwich Union last week as I damaged my camera but was told it was not covered as it was a personal possesion, not part of my contents insurance... Well I guess by that standard if you have anything in your house and take it outside, it is not part of your "contents" - be sure you get seperate cover or like me, you might find yourself on an expensive trip. Having just been quoted £650.00 for their insurance this year, I will be declining the offer. I now need to find £900.00 to replace my damaged camera that was not covered, and pay for more insurance. Have also cancelled my motorbike policy with them and my car policy - Goodbye NU / Aviva.
