We have had our house on the market with Connells in Basingstoke for almost 9 months. The agency have consistently turned up late to viewings and the house has appeared twice in the newspaper in the last 9 months. They promise the earth, charge the earth and don't perform. We are now removing our house from the market for now and will review the estate agents on offer before signing up with any one else. Also Connells charge you £150 + VAT if you want to leave them ,plus charge one of the highest commissions so bear that in mind when you are still trying to sell your house 9 months down the line.
