I have had one of these Philips HP6453 Satin Ice Optima Epilator for about two years now. yes it hurts but only the first time you use it. for your bikini line if you are using it for the first time use the ice pack. i did change my epilator at the beginning of the year to an expressive but i went back to this one as it grabs the smallest of hairs, i have lovely feeling legs for weeks on end now and dont have to worry about shaving my legs any more. word of warning though if you do decide to give them a quick shave it will hurt to epilate your legs again. if anything goes wrong with this one i will definitely go out and but the same model again.
