When i went to Benalmadena, Holiday Village Apartments spain I went into wavelenghth (a kids club for aged 9 to 15 year olds) and did DJ workshop, raft building, Survivor, highropes and archery - and really enjoyed them all. There are also 2 more kids clubs little satrs (2 to 5 year olds) and super stars that my brother when in (from 6 to 8 year olds)- he did archery and tri-golf he made loads of friend but we only looked into it in the second weeks of being there, I wish i had done it the first week as well!

I didnt really watch the entertainment much i normally went into the arcade, the internet room ('1 for 10 minutes) or went on the bungees that are just next to the entertainment ('3 for a ticket for one person). Although, I did watch the night time entertainment twice, once there were a hynotist on stage and once when clowns were on stage. The hypnotist was really good I laughed so much! But other times my mum and dad sat at the piano bar because the entertainment that was on was rubbish! Me and my brother (7) really loved doing the chocolatte dance and watching the holiday express - though now I wish that i had joined in with it.

I advise that if you want to sit round the main pool and not go over to the beach club, get up early and put your towels on the beds because when i stayed there all off the sun loungers were taked by eight(am)! On the other hand if you do go over to the beach club dont worry about getting up really early because it only opens at 10(am) but you have to be out of the pool by 6(pm). Also over at the beach club there are two fun slides to go down in rubber rings and a man-made cave that you can swim through to get to the wave pool.

In total there are 8 swimming pools at costa del sol holiday village and 7 of them over at the beach club. The wave pool is quite rough when the waves are on so I strongly advise you to listen to the shout outs that the life guard makes for how long until the waves come on.

The bar that you can walk through when you cross the bridge (to the beach club) does not sell ice-creams so if you want an ice-cream you will have to walk up to the top - near the restaurant to get one. Also there is a V.I.P area over at the beach club which is near the restaurant too. It has bubble beds up their too! But there are bubble beds when you cross over another bridge (at the beach club) to get to some more bubble bed but in the afternoon (about 3) you normally cant get one because there are all taken!

The food in the restaurant at night it great, and there are special night like:
Indian night
European night
Italian night
Texan night
Sailing night
Mexican night
Caribbean night
And a night (i can't remember what it called) where they have a chocolate fountain - on Thursdays.
Also they have three restaurants. And a playground near the night time entertainment.

There are two hotels that are a part of the holiday village that hav the same reception and the palace down the road which has nicer rooms but not as nice pools so there is a bus that comes to the hiliday village hotels from the palace at 10am.

So all in all i give the holiday village hotel a rating of 8/10.
Hope this review is useful is you wondering what kids think about the holiday village and if you go im sure you will have a great time. Also take the bus into belemadina and go on a dolphin trip but unfortunately when i went on one i didnt see any dolphins but graet boat trip, jumping into the sea off the boat and steering the boat and fishing off the back and sunbathing. Don't forget your swim wear and have a great time!
