After being with T-Mobile for an 2 year period on contract and pay as you go, i was still fairly happy with the service i was receiving; but chose to move to another network pay as you go to be on the same network as the rest of the family. After a 12 month break i returned to T-Mobile and unfortunately i have not been anywhere near as happy with the service.
Firstly the value for money (in my circumstances anyway on a relatively low value contract) has rapidly decreased :( my allowances seemed suitable at the beginning of the contract but i soon learnt the hard way that all calls under a minute are rounded up to a minutes worth of allowance usage so very quickly my total call time of 95 minutes ended up being billed as 235minutes when i only had an allowance of 150 minutes. On top of the additional call charges i was then charged for the itemised bill which i had never requested and on top of that i was charged VAT on these as well!
After several bills that were in excess of £30 i chose not to renew my contract, but their customer retention team have since rung almost a dozen times offering me a new contract despite being told on their first call that i had already taken out a new plan with an alternative network for £5 less per month and quadruple minutes and calls allowances, and a much better phone. After all this I cant say I'm going to be sad to leave the network.
