I went out to buy a springer that would allow me to kill rats and rabbits. The German gun I fancied was lovely, but heavier and more expensive than this BSA. When I tried the Lightning, it just felt 'right'. It comes to the shoulder naturally and has all the power I need - rabbits just keel over with barely a twitch. I'm still running the gun in but it has all I need without the extra air bottles or pumps; just break, load, aim and fire. It may not be as quiet as a pre-charged gun, but so far, the bunnies & rats haven't cared.
