We have two children aged 4 and 7 and visited the Crealy Park in Cornwall on August 13th 2009 and were very disappointed. We thought it was overpriced for the quality of the attractions which were old (one kept breaking down), tired and badly planned. Lots of slides in smelly, airless areas with badly planned layout eg sacks to sit in were never by the appropriate slide. Lots of extra cost once in too eg mini tractors. The food choice is poor - just greasy stuff with badly planned cafe layout. The whole place needs revamping (peeling paint everywhere) and cleaning (over flowing bins, dirty toilets). We didn't expect the quality of rides you get at Legoland but compared with somewhere like Paultons Park in Hampshire or Fishers Farm in Sussex it was very poor for the price. I wouldn't recommend it.

We are horrified by your description of the appearance of the Park and toilets; as we have a dedicated team employed for on Park hygiene to maintain high standards, with 56% of our guests 'delighted' by the overall quality of our attraction rising to 91% who are 'satisfied'.

In regards to your comments about rides and play areas at the Par we are confused as to why you would think that, we normally have a large amount of positive feedback from guests on the mix of family rides and attractions we offer. The mini tractors that you refer to are optional extras that guests can pay for should they wish. The reason they are not included in the main admission charge is because not everyone is able to use them and we feel asking guests to pay for them is farer. There are minimal optional extras at Cornwall's Crealy - just Water Walkerz, some coin-operated kiddie ride-ons and games.

Finally, the quality of our food and customer service is usually of a very high standard so we are very disappointed that you did not experience this. We source a high proportion of our food and drink from local suppliers including Cornish meats, cheeses and fruit and vegetables. Our picnic boxes, sandwiches, rolls, paninis, salads, pasties and jacket potatoes are all available in addition to our (Cornish) beef-burgers and (British) chips, always freshly cooked in vegetable oil.

We would be more than happy to discuss your day out, if you'd be so kind as to email us on fun@crealy.co.uk so that we can get in touch with you personally, as your experience isn't typical.

    Kind regards,

    Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park
