Lots of hidden charges - we moved house after accepting a quote but BEFORE Budget Home Insurance cover started and were charged a fee to change the address details. At a later renewal time, we tried to change to monthly payments, rather than annual, but were told we'd have to pay the full amount first, then they'd refund it, then we could start a monthly plan. We didn't have the full amount available to us at the time, so we had to cancel the policy. Three weeks after confirming cancellation (which we did within 14 days of renewal), they sent us a "Warning Letter" stating that we owed them £130 cancellation fee and to pay within 4 days or they would pass to external debt collection agency. Fought the cancellation fee and got it down to £50, but this is still FAR too much for cancellation within 14 days. Wouldn't EVER use them again.
