Very deceptive! We signed up for 12 months @ 29.99 with direct tv services. We really did not have any problems with the service, other then no local sports, unless we got a bigger package and no picture before or during a thunderstorm or windstorm. But since the price was so reasonable we over looked them. After the 12 months was up the bill shot up to 55.00, we then decided it really wasn't worth it. So we called and they talked us into the family plan, well it's a joke it's local channels, food network and a bunch of shopping channels. We called again to cancel for good and they throw a 18 month clause. We have to pay 20 dollars for every month left on contact. Looking through our paperwork, nowhere does it say a 18 month contract! When I talked to a customer service rep, he was condescending and just plain mean. When I ask to speak to a supervisor, I waited 45 minutes! She answered laughing and was also as rude! PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU SIGN WITH DIRECTV!
