DON NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH COMET. LCD TV which was 3 yrs old, we have had two LCD screens replaced. It then went into service centre for a month for us to be told there was nothing wrong with it. When it was delivered back to us even their delivery driver could see the problem, We then got a Philips authorised agent to come and look at it, he took one look and told us it was the LCD screen needed a new one. We then contacted Comet again sending a copy of the Philips report, the TV went back into their service centre , despite them being told we were unavailable they twice phoned to say it was ready to be returned, when I contacted them on return suddenly a fault had been found they have now had it at their service centre another month and finally written it off although Philips told us 2 months ago the part is no longer available. They are refusing to refund the cost of the Philips enginner coming out to us because they say that was our choice and we did not give them a fair chance to sort the problem out!!!!! unlike the other lady we did get a replacement TV because I kicked up a stink, but it has cost us many telephone calls, lack of sky HD and the call out. Lets see how long the replacement which unfortunately we have to get from them will take to get to us! 5 months so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
