The 3300 receiver is actually a quad, hardly ever shown are the 14 push buttons on its face. This receiver might be the most overlooked monster of all time.In comparing the mod 8 to the 3300,the 3300 is clean with any speaker. In comparison to the model 5000,the 3300 again wins. Its natural tones and perfect balance make this receiver a formidable foe against any high end receiver. The lobster in a hamburger tank!

The 3300 isn't a Quad receiver, it is a Stereo receiver, if says so on the front top left. It has the ability to add outboard noise reduction, and a 4 channel adapter. It is second in features only to the 5500. The receiver has 28wpc, but punches way beyond what that spec would indicate.
The amplifier section is larger then the 2000x, or the 4000 which are both rated at nearly 40wpc.
The pre-amplifier section is basically the same as the 2000x, 4000 and 5000x receivers, so if your using this just as a pre-amplifier , it has pre-amplifier out, the sound is essentially the same. If you are using it as a receiver, it is a bit more dynamic then the 2000x or 4000 due to the oversized amplifier. This is a sleeper and a total gem.
