I've done a lot of flying over the past few years and Alitalia has to be one of the worse airlines I have ever flown with. I flown from Budapest, Hungary to London, stopping in transit in Rome, Italy. First my flight was delayed 3 hours departing Budapest, arriving in Rome with 15 mins to make the connecting flight. Luckly I made the flight (even thou I had to run from one end of the airport to the other), however my luggage didnt make the flight. At London airport I was told that I would be contacted the following day, and to fill out some paperwork, giving a contact address, I only had my Nan's address which I wasnt due to be at for 2 weeks, and told the lady that I didn't know the address I would be staying at for the next few days, she said I could give that information the following day. The next day I recieved no phone call, and spent hours trying to get through to someone to find out what was happening with my bags and give my address with no luck. It wasn't til the day after that I was informed that my bags had been deleieved to my Nan's house, I was then told on the phone that I shouldnt have been told I would recieve a phone call, or to ring. The customer service was terrible, and the actually flight was not much better, there was about 30 high school students running around the plane, this was happening even when the plane was landing, this children seemed to just be allowed to run wild. I will not be flying with this airline again.

    My husband flew with Alitalia some years ago. The flight had been delayed, so the pilot was anxious to get going, and actually started take-off before everyone was seated! So much for safety on board!
