Disgraceful
Signed in to view my halifax current account statement and i have ended up with a Ultimate Reward Account, can't revert back to my old account and i am being charge £12.50 a month for something i will get no use out of. Very underhanded in the way it states upgrade (when in fact it is a new account with a cost)when alls you want is to view your account and the only way i could get out of it was to proceed. Advised no cooling of period.
Please don't make to same mistake i did. Taking it to the Financial Ombusman, it shouldn't be aloud.
Real pain but going to cancel account tomorrow as is mum and sister i will certainly be spreading the word.
