Having had the america express card for 7 nor so years, I was livid when the cost went up threefold. The additional benefits are OK, but if you have a PA they are not that useful. Also I pay personally for the card whereas my company would otherwise pay for my travel / drivers etc.
Often I find that my largest items expenditure cannot be put on the card as the organisaton does not accept it, or the charges are exorbitant.
I used to spend £100K + on it, but I am cancelling now. The customer service people at Amex tel me that almost no-one is cancelling, but I don't believe them
