Thorpe Park I felt had very efficient and friendly staf, the food may be overpriced but that's a theme park for you. The rides have long queues but what do you expect, no body else to go when you do? It's a busy place get over it!
Nemesis Inferno often has a much smaller queue than the other coasters and is probably the best, an underated ride, stelath and saw really don't deserve the queues they get where as colossus probably does.
The flat rides in the lost city (except rush) often have small queues and are very good.
If all else fails buy a fastrack! they're only 3 pound per ride, or 4 pound for Saw and Stealth, if you really want to get on rides, spend some money.
I like Thorpe Park and although it has its problems, which park doesn't?
