This was our third holiday at Butlins and my 15th holiday there and this time was a real dissapointment and for reasons which could have been easily prevented.
Ok, so we went standard so we didn't expect a lot but...Nor did we expect a smelly chalet, rips in the curtains, and a view of 15 empty cans of lager outside our window (There on the day we came and on the day we left).
Also the cafe in the main tent closes early and they dim the lights which is ridiculous. Not all families want to sit in the clubs and if you have children who spent their evenings at the amusements it is nice to have somewhere to sit, somewhere that doesn't mean that parents have to sit in darkness!!
On a postive note, the entertainment as always was fantastic, the pool great and the funfair excellent, free and fun.
Will we go there again?...Yes, but beware of the cheaper accomodation. It might not be worth the risk.
