After watching the watchdog story on the Samsung R21 we were a bit apprehensive about purchasing the Samsung RSH1NHMH, and rightly so as it failed after 16 months. Same inherent design failure... noisy fan then the fan stopped due to ice build up. On top of that, upon opening it up the engineer found the heating element had burnt a hole in the back of the fridge. Another problem he had seen before. The model is quite new so I would imagine this is just the beginning of the failures, a thought shared by the engineer.

Different model, same Samsung quality.

The engineer said a new fridge will be offered but we will not be accepting another Samsung

I found this review very helpful because we have just had a comet engineer here who discovered exactly the same thing. Our rsh1nhmh is only just over 2 years old & we are so disappointed. He said it is not worth fixing & that he recommends we do not use it any more as its dangerous. Great!!!
