i have recently returned from a supposed 7 night stay at Haggerston Castle, on arrival we were treated to a cattle market book in, the superior plus caravan was dirty old and worn, we were moved after complaining to another that was even worse, the lounge was worn out , carpet stained and worn , furniture the same, kitchen had bubbling work tops with a hole in the wall, the beds were from the dark ages with no mattress protector, metal frame with a 4" thick mattress that was stained and very uncomfortable, the bathroom was old with a cracked sink that had been glued back together, the bar area on site was just like a 1970's working mans club, dark , dingy and stunk of old ale, as you walked to the bar your feet stuck to the floor. we came home on the first night, the staff showed a lack of concern and just referred to the small print in the brochure as a defence. there were lots of facilities on the site and the prices were extortionate.e.g £5.50 for sausage chips and a coke. how this site can claim 5 stars is a joke
