We have just arrived back from a week at Trelawne Manor 3rd-10th aug. I was apprehensive after reading these reviews. We had a fantastic time. Yes, the site itself has its bad points, it is looking a bit old but it has character..the manor house is lovely, I laughed at the fact that the reception is at the bar so you book in at the bar. It reminded me of faulty towers but in a good way! The pools were lovely, the slide was good. The kids entertainment I wasn't sure about at first but our 4 year old loved it so thats all that mattered. It gave her more confidence joining in. The caravan was a gold one, it had plenty of storage, en suite in the main bedroom, we were given free view half way through our stay as it was in the middle of the digital change over. Yes, we didn't have enough tea spoons and some of the equipment checks were not in date but these were only minor issues. We used this site as a base really but I loved every minute of our holiday, even though it rained on the first 2 days and it took us 8 hours to get there! We are going on another john fowler holiday next year!

Well it just goes to show that old saying "don't knock it til you have tried it" works then.
I recently commented on a review from a person saying everything is not to each others taste, and it isn't,

The best thing about the review centre is you can pass your comments, but take it on board very lightly.

Me an my family have done John Fowler's for the last 8 years, we travel from Yorkshire, and have been disappointed ONCE on the 1st night, but we added to that fun by making sure the entertainments staff where the victims and not the parents, even though we was, but when we get told it was the best week they had had, then we went home planning for next year. Trelawne will not know what has hit them, when we go, as we know one of the staff from last year

I found this review helpful because...i am going to Trelawne on Saturday with my family and I too am a little apprehensive after reading mixed reviews. I do know everyone has different taste. On my last holiday abroad I read really bad reviews about the hotel I was going to but when we got there had the most fabulous holiday so I will remain openminded and look forward to Cornwall and hopefully some good weather!
