Okay, we camped for 5 nights at the beginning of august... we likedthe look of the Sea View Holiday Park website, and all the facilities it had to offer. We were taking 3 children with us and for bad weather days there seemed ample indoor play facilities surrounded by picturesque countryside.
But when we arrived it wasn't as we thought, to use the indoor soft play/ play gym area it was £2.50 pr child for 2 hrs AND adults had to buy drinks whilst in there. Ten pin bowling was priced at £4.50 EACH for 10 whole minutes. The pool looked boring and square with nothing much to do there. Was locked by 5pm and you had to have permission to go in. For me the toilet/cleaning facilities where the worst. They gave us a bothroom key first, which seemed fab, the floors in all the shower blocks are painted red, when wet this goes EVERYWHERE, clothes towels the lot. when i complained they shrugged it off saying it wasnt their floors! The showers, washing up sinks are all connected by the same water, so when you wash up an others are washing up/ showering you get a trickle from the tap and its generally cold too. The shower regulator was faulty in the bathroom aws it went very cold suddenly and then after few minutes of showering all the kids quite hot. I swapped my bathroom key for a normal toilet key. The first shower in the block didnt work- no hot water at all, 2nd one the head thing spun round, it was just a nightmare, and the shower cubicles were so small literally the kids could get changed in them, i had to use a toilet cubicle. The showers were dirty and no mop or cloth to clean round after you had done. The plug holes were blocked too and the water gathered up my feet. THe only plus side about this place was the location, thankfully pretty good weather and the play area for the kids! The bar we went in once, as the kids happily played in the playground, and was open till 11.30 with a few families in. Drinks were reasonable. There is table football, air hockey, giant connect 4, pool table, all at cost. but in the barely stocked shop it was very expensive, the costcutter down the road is better. The first and last pub is lovely for decent home cooked food, and they were doing bogof on kids meals !! Nobody we spoke to on the camp site would return again, was on the more expensive side too for the pitch because you expect allt he website offers but actually thats not the case!
