We didn't have a bad experience instore at Bensons for Beds - it was the delivery that shocked me.
My husban's colleague took a call at 8.55 to say the driever would be there in 10 mins. My husband went to our flat next door and waited 30 minutes. He called his boss who had the number from the call earlier. He rang and the driver said "I'm here, where are you?" The driver was in the wrong town. He claimed he had been given the wrong details. We suspected that the digit in the first half of the post code must have been entered into his sat nav incorrectly, given the town he was in. We typed it into a route finder, and yes, that was what he had done.
Nearly four hours later the driver arrived, told my husband we gave him the wrong postcode, that it doesn't take you to our flat (how did he get there the second time then?!. Both the driver and his assistant were rude and aggressive, one swore at my husband's colleague as they left.
We called the customer service team who were even ruder, told me he was one of their best and they couldn' comment or apologise. She told me we had given it wrong, then she blamed it on the store, then, after reading the correct details out to me, she said "we all make mistakes". Yes, we do, but we don't blame our customers for them!
Our comments would be passed onto the manager who would call us back later. It's been 4 days and still no response.
The driver entered the incorrect postcode and ended up in a different town. How can they try and blame that on everyone but the driver?!
My advice, is take it home from the store if you can (our car is far too small for that!) and avoid their delivery drivers.
Terrible customer service from the delivery team and no resolution to the issue!
