Very poor reliability. I am just grateful it is company car and I don't have to pay the bills
General Comments
I have done 96,000 miles in my Renault Grand Espace RXE MPV in nearly 4 years. I have had 4 air conditioning units. Each time they go they flood the inside of the car with a foul smelling liquid. It takes more than a day in the garage to repair these, as the whole front of the car has to be taken out. My clutch exploded and took out the flywheel. The car was off the road for two weeks The hydraulics went on the clutch and yet again all the front had to come out to replace what looked like a cheap plastic part. The alternator overcharged the battery. Both had to be replaced. The immobiliser went wrong and the car had to be towed into the garage to be reprogrammed. It was off the road for at least a week. When it goes it is the best car I have ever driven. It is such a shame the reliability does not match the performance.
