Me and my girlfriend went to flamingoland today and we wished we had not bothered. The staff are misrable the place is very dirty and they have a huge problem with wasps. Whilst waiting to enter the park we had wasps bothering us. After paying we went straight to the Mumbo Jumbo ride and we waited around 45 minutes for a two minute ride(we arrived early and whre at the park for 0930hrs and were at the ride for 1000). As the day progressed the queue's became worse for even the most simplist of rides e.g the cable car which would have taken probably about two hour's wait. I bought a can of coke for a quid and was then bombarded with wasps and had to almost fight them off me I ended up throwing the unfinished can in the bin. The toilet facilities are utterly disgusting and if you are desperate i would recommend hovering. Not one member of staff appeared happy and all of them looked miserable and unapproachable. The food is over priced and of very poor quality. The only good thing about flamingoland was the Zoo where the animals appear happy.Due to the size of the queues we managed only two rides we refused to queue for any others as they were too long. The train which takes you round the park was even a nightmare for the amount of people waiting to get on it.I would recommend Alton towers as a far superior alternative and for seeing wild animals Chester Zoo.

    This review echoes my experience in August 2009. The queue for the women's toilet was very long, wasps were a problem, queues for the rides were horrendous. In short, the day was disappointing.
