The main weakness of this Rover 214 is that the headgasket goes very easily n quickly, u have to make sure the cars had it changed befor you buy it if the mileage is over 70000 miles which most of these type of cars have already covered. My 214sei had already done double that mileage when i bought it and had the headgasket done at 72000 miles. 2weeks after id bought the car it needed doin again but being a mechanic by trade i was able to fix myself with abit of help by a friend. I only purchased the car for 220 pounds (uk). The new headgasket set and stretch bolts timing belts n fan belts included cost around 200 pounds in all. But now its all fixed and its a wikid car i would defo recomend to a friend.
