Our cruise on Independence of the Seas was superb, the staff excellent, cabin great. I am surprised to find people moaning about the standards dropping!.We are both experienced `cruisers` for many years and it never fails to amaze me what the `Public` moan about. "being asked if you want a drink too many times" well I guess if the staff did`nt ask you would moan that it took to long to get served. I met people who moaned about restaurant food only to find that they had`nt actually been in the restaurant. OK they no longer put a chocolate on your pillow at night! so what? I`ve also met people who did`nt like there choice of food aswell, it does`nt mean the food was bad, it means they had chosen an item that they did`nt like the taste of..so what you do is get it changed, the staff are always willing to oblige. We were on a`celebrity cruise liner` last november, and I found the staff on this RCL cruise to easily be as attentive. We take 2 cruises per year with Celebrity & RCL. In my view its not the cruises that have reduced standards its some of the passengers.
