I booked a 'Sun holiday' for myself, my girlfriend and her little boy to Combe Haven for July of this year and on the whole it wasn't too bad.
We travelled from Mid-Wales (over 250 miles away) and weren't disappointed with what we saw. We got there to a beautiful day and the three of us went straight into the outdoor pool before checking in.
After we checked in we went to our caravan (Meadow Bank I think) and the only complaint I could have about it was that the carpets were verging on filthy. Having said that, there was a note left for us asking if we wanted the carpet steam cleaned because it wasn't up to their usual standard.
I don't understand what people expect when they come on a holiday like this, you're only paying £38 for 5 days, it's hardly going to be the Ritz.
In the days we were in Combe Haven we ventured into Hastings to play crazy golf and went to see the ruins of the castle. One day we went to a small zoo called Drusillas Park and I have to say it was fantastic. The zoo itself was good because there's only one way around so you're sure not to miss anything. At the end of the trail there is the biggest children's adventure playground I have ever seen, I've never wanted to be 8 again so much in my entire life! The place is just under half an hours drive from Combe Haven.
In the evenings we attended the entertainment that they had on in the holiday park. It was hardly fascinating but my girlfriends little boy really enjoyed it and the rest of the kids there seemed to as well. On the last night there they do a Haven's Got Talent competition where people on holiday get to take to the stage and perform which was really good and a lot of fun was had that night.
Don't expect too much and you won't go away disappointed!

Center Parcs - Review - Centre Parcs Oasis Windfell Forest
Centre Parcs say that is was due to refurbishment, I beleive it was due to labour costs at this quiet time of the year. Albeit still great choice in the eating department.
