I have had two dogs insured with Sainsburys PetCare Pet Insurance, one for 12 years and one for 9 years. I am now making regular claims for the older one, but have never claimed for the younger. The premium for the 9 year old has risen by £12 per month and I am dreading to find out how much the older one's premium will go up next month!! On querying the increase, I was told it was due to the breed (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). What I think is so unfair, is that new customers are being offered 3 months free insurance, plus a 20% discount if they pay on-line - why don't Sainsbury's pass some of these benefits on to their longstanding and loyal customers?
