My Burgman 650 executive is a joy to ride over long or short distances. It obviously lacks the out and out performance of my previous ST110, ST1300 and GL1800 Gold Wing but has more than enough grunt for long distance touring, and, if you are so inclined, will beat more sporting bikes away from the lights in auto mode. The luggage capacity for solo touring with a waterproof duffle bag, or similar, on the pillion seat and the large under seat area (two full face helmets plus) is sufficient for a two week tour. Dislikes? Expensive to buy and I am getting 54 miles per (imperial) gallon which only gives a safe range of 150 miles. For commuting or touring, auto transmission is the future, my gear change days are over.
