CAR GIANT - WHITE CITY, LONDON. The prime reason for visiting a car supermarket is to find choice and value. There was plenty of vehicles on display and the staff were polite. The big problem is, that with the exception of virtually new or very low mileage vehicles, it was difficult to find one without condition issues. You can go down a whole row of a certain make and find scrapes, scratches and small dents on all of them. This means the apparently 'cheap' prices you see advertised are not good value atall. Those without defects are priced at the price you would find them anywhere else or more. NO POINT IN DRIVING A LONG DISTANCE FOR THAT! We just wondered why they did not have a body shop and charge the cost price extra for repairing bodywork paint and minor dents. A customer does not want the bother. We spent a few hundred more for the age and mileage, somewhere else very near home and got a car in perfect condition and fully serviced (unlike many at CAR GIANT). Unfortunately we witnessed someone with a complaint speaking to a very polite staff member. The peugeot 307 car had a broken grill and bent bonnet opening mechanism. The staff member said he'd speak to his manager but didn't hold out much hope of compensation. We looked and looked, but finally gave up on finding a car we were happy with. I would only think of going there for a 1 year old or less vehicle where there seemed to be some good value around. We bought exactly that 10 years ago without any problem and did save a few hundred pounds.
