If you've never flown Alitalia, or any domestic european airline, then this low level of service is probably going to be shocking. Even by bad standards, Alitalia manages to lower the bar. Problems:
- Every Alitalia employees I came across was rude and unhelpful (ticket agent, business club receptionist, flight attendants, etc)
- Flight attendants disappear after they do the minimum service (and I was in their business class)
- Flights are late and boarding is unorganized
- Good luck even getting a smile let alone a thank you for flying
If you have to fly Alitalia, set your expectations very low, that way you won't be too disappointed.
