We booked directly via the website of the hotel because of the savings and early check in and late check out they offer for free. We stayed in santa ponsa holiday park with my husband and daughter and her boyfriend and it was a smart choice for us. We wanted somewhere close to the beach and restaurants, somewhere close enough to all the main attractions, and also somewhere not so far from the airport because we didn't want to spend 2 hours each way on the bus. We also wanted somewhere that we could just hang around the pool at the hotel relaxing and Holiday Park delivered on all of this and then some! We were happy with the size of the rooms, the food served at the bar was fabulous and the entertainment was great. The two girls were just brilliant and kept the kids and adults occupied all week. Considering the 70 euros a night we paid, I can't imagine finding a better choice in Santa Ponsa. Also, i must mention that the holiday park staff really make you feel at home and welcome.
We went to the following attractions which are all near the hotel:
Marineland park which is ok, but a little boring if you have visited places like sea world of Orlando
Western Park which my daughter and boyfriend loved. We also did Pirates which I think most people visit if they want a night out. It is good and worth going to. We got 20% discount on all these from the hotel reception because we had booked direct. One big benefit that we noticed in santa ponsa is that there are no people on the streets stopping you to offer you tickets and trying to get you in their bars and night clubs. I know from experience that in other resorts these people can ruin your night. Apparantly in Santa Ponsa they have been banned, which can only be a good thing I think.
