Bennetts insurance are a joke, last year i got insured with them, i never received my insurance certificate, good job i kept all the information of insurance on my pc, and taxed my bike on line. This year coming up to renewal, no contact what so ever, i then got a weird text quote on my house phone that i couldnt understand. I then got insured for my bike on line the morning the insurance had run out, insurance not by Bennetts. two days later I received my insurance certificate from Bennetts, saying it was a automatic renewal from the quotes they sent me, i never received the quotes. On the phone call to Bennetts they said i should of canceled my insurance and there was nothing i could do, i told them i never received the quote and they told me too late, they said the quote was sent out 2nd July insurance was due 28th.I looked at the documents they had sent and it states 14 day cancelation no charge, but the bloke on the phone said i would have to pay the full amount. After a trip to the CAB they advised me it is illegal to charge insurance with out a quote and that Bennetts were in the wrong. I rang Bennetts the new bloke on the phone was a bit better, but the refund was minus a £20 cancelation fee, so there policy book and letters are a load of rubbish also (14 day free cancelation) I was told to write to them explaning I didnt receive the quote but dont hold my breath on the refund, also told to post the policy back for my refund, they can take money with out paper work , but unable to get refund with out paper work.
