My 10 month old Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0 DI-D Elegance 5dr broke down 3 weeks ago. It was thought to be a turbo problem. The garage replaced the turbo but said further major problems. They say fuel contamination and not covered by warranty. They have given me a sample. It is blue/black. I fill my other car with same diesel at same garage and no problems. Every mechanic I have spoken to says fuel contam will not break a turbo and the contam is not from the fuel station. The garage ( Brindley at Cannock ) refused to test the fuel and my insurer wont accept the claim as they need proof from the garage. I went back to the garage to ask to see the turbo as I was becoming suspicious. They said they couldnt find it. I went back a couple of days later and they then refused me access to see the turbo or even my car. What are they hiding. Mitsusbishi customer service absolutely terrible- non existent. No sign of car being repaired. Has anybody else had the same problem ?
