Like a previous poster's experience, the car hire I had booked with Auriga Crown as far back as November last year for our holiday last month was suddenly cancelled by them just 4 days prior to departure. The credit crunch was the reason given in the email. At such short notice and with the availability of smaller cars almost non-existent, I couldn't find another car that wouldn't have cost me hundreds of pounds more than the original booking. I ended up having to arrange a private taxi transfer to the resort and back instead.

On arrival at Palma airport, there were still lots of people queueing up at the Auriga Crown kiosk in the airport terminal as we walked past to pickup our taxi so I'm sure that the only reason my booking was cancelled was because I had got a good deal due to my early booking and they just wanted to get as much financial return for their cars as possible by cancelling their less profitable car hire bookings. A very poor show indeed made unacceptable by the extremely short notice of the cancellation. I really don't know what would have happened if I hadn't seen the email prior to my holiday but I for one will never use them again and would have given them no stars at all if this forum allowed it.
