AirTran Airways is absolutely the worst airline. My husband flew from Chicago to Atlanta and was supposed to fly from Atlanta to Houston. Due to bad weather in Atlanta, the flight was delayed in Chicago and then when they finally boarded them, they couldnt take off because they didnt have enough flight attendants and had to wait another hour after having already waited for 3 hours.

In Atlanta, his flight to Houston was cancelled today. There was no call or email notification, and after I called to ask what was going to be done (and spent 45 minutes waiting to speak to a representative), they informed me that they could offer a flight tomorrow, but no hotel voucher. I was also told that the reason for the cancellation was that due to previous bad weather, they did not have the staff of flight attendants necessary for the flight. The man told me to call customer relations. I asked if he could transfer me so I didnt have to wait another 45 minutes. No. They have no ability to transfer a call. What?

I called "customer relations." After waiting for 45 minutes for someone to answer my call, the woman told me that she could book a new flight for tomorrow morning, but could not give my husband a hotel voucher. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said she is the supervisor. I again asked to speak to her supervisor, and she said that that person does not answer customer calls. I asked to speak to anyone else and she told me I would have to call back because she cannot transfer me to anyone else. AND WAIT ANOTHER 45 MINUTES? I was livid. This is absolutely the worst airline and most useless customer service we have ever experienced and we will never fly with them again.

In the end she offered me a $50 voucher for future travel on Airtan, and I refused it. Why would I want to give this company any more of my time or money? Taking the $50 voucher would mean I have to book another flight with them! I asked her why I spent 45 minutes waiting to talk to her when she told me the same exact thing as the first guy and she didnt have any answers. I asked her what she could possibly do for me and she said the only thing I could do was make a complaint, and that would help them to better their airline. I asked her how that would help me if I am never going to fly with them again, and she got an attitude.
