I was backpacking in China the last year and had two of my bags stolen, by two men on a motorbike. They drove up from behind me and ripped my bags off my shoulder, a situation I had no control over.
In my bag, I had all my essentials (creams, medication, make-up etc.) as well as phone, camera, MP3 player etc. Before my trip to China, I had taken the insurance policy which was meant to cover me for everything, I took the Gold option so I was fully covered.
After the incident, I contacted Insure and Go, just to be shouted at down the phone, as I apparently had phoned the wrong "area" of the company. I was never redirect, just told to find the number online. Once I was able to contact the right person, I was sent a letter asking to give them a full detail on why I was carrying such items with me. I was absolutely shocked by the ridiculous questions Insure and Go were asking me. (Why I owned a new Nokia phone, why I had a camera, why I was carrying an MP3 with me..absolutely absurd questions, with obvious answers!!)
They completely ignored my emails and when they did contact me, they kept asking for written letters sent in the post.

I would NEVER use Insure and Go ever again, and I would never recommend them to a friend. It was extremely worrying, knowing this Insurance company was doing nothing,
I received nothing back from Insure and Go, even though my insurance policy was quite expensive.

I really recommend you spend a little longer looking for a better insurance company,
I feel totally disappointed by their service
