After many years of riding two wheelers, and having had a Piaggio X9 250 for 3 years I traded it in, last August, for the MP3. For sheer stability in crosswinds, and the joy of riding it around bends at speeds beyond which a 2 wheeler is capable, it cannot be bettered.It is a brilliant piece of engineering. On the downside, though,the quality of the materials leaves a lot to be desired. After only a few weeks the silencer,and some screws, started to rust.Now,I notice that there is some corrosion on the the front suspension. The standard windshield gives no protection in wet weather, so I bought a higher screen.The trip computer does not give the useful information that was on the X9. i.e. maximum speed and average speed. despite all that I have just completed a 10 week, 2000 mile tour on it, without any problems. It would have been good to have a built - in mobile phone charger, as there was on my X9.
