Going to indoor ski slopes such as chill factor and xscape are great ways to get experience before going on a ski holiday.
Comparing chill factor at Manchester with xscape one bad thing at chill factor is the ticket machine as every time you get to the bottom you have to swipe through again and sometimes the machine has trouble reading. It might only be a short delay but when the run is short it can be quite frustrating, xscape relies on the staff checking your ticket for times?

the slope is wider at chill factor which is good and they also operate 2 lifts at the same time one on the left was manned at the top and bottom meant for all levels so they cut out if someone falls whereas the one on the right is unmanned and meant for advanced skiers and boarders which I think is a good idea. Perhaps this is why they are able to operate the two lifts cause they don't need to have staff at both lifts to check tickets?
