I recently took a trip on american airline from little rock to san jose with a connecting flight from dallas fort worth. I booked this flight 1 month on advance. First I get an email from american airline stating that my returning lay over in dallas was extended from 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs. The day
of my trip in the first airpot, american was late by 1.5hrs meaning I was pressed for time getting to my connect flight to san jose. I almost missed this plane because I had never been to Dallas airport and needed to go straight to my gate. I did catch this flight but barely. Got to San Jose airport and my luggage was 2hrs behind me so I had to come back to the airport to get it.
On my return flight, I got on the plane in San Jose, got a call from american while in my seat belt saying that my connect flight from Dallas to Little Rock had been cancelled until the next day due to bad weather in Dallas. O.k. I was ok with this but I asked about american accomidating me with a room in dallas and they refused saying that it was weather related and did'nt accomadated in situations like this! American asked me to sleep in Dallas airport from 1pm til 9am the next day. I DON't THINK SO! So I said no, leave me in San Jose where I am familiar, re-do the whole flight for the next day. American did do this much but my luggage had been shipped to Little Rock! I spent another day in San Jose without my luggage. I caught the plane the next day and had a 5hr lay over in Dallas! I had to take this flight to get home that day because I had already missed a day of work because of the cancallation. When I made it to Little Rock, my luggage was there but had a rip in my brand new luggage. This was my first time flying and it was a disaster. I will never fly with american airline again ever.
