More Than Car Insurance are not the cheapest, which is probably why they are named that.

I kerbed an alloy in the ice this year. I wasn't able to get hold of a replacement wheel through Mitsubishi as they have discontinued that style. Tried a number of scrap merchants & wheel specialists to no avail. So I thought I would see if More Than's super network garages could get hold of one. I was told 'yes we can help you'.

Took car to the recommended network garage and they said they would find out. One month later I had not heard so I called More Than. They said call the garage. Garage said we cannot get any wheels for your car. Called More Than they said they could not help me so I said in that case I will withdraw my claim. They said don't worry it will be recorded as 'information only'. I asked if this would have any impact on my premiums or policy and was told it would not affect anything as I had 9 years protected bonus.

At renewal I was shocked to find an increase in my premium by almost 25%. I called and was told it had gone up because I made a claim. If I had persisted with my claim I would have been in the same position and saved some money not having to buy new wheels. Privilege are much better.
