We had been with Bupa health insurance for 30years, since we were first married in fact. During that time we have paid a considerable amount of money to Bupa with me having to see a consultant twice in thirty years - my husband not at all !!! We decided to change the policy to a Local Hospital Policy and not have such a high cover, however, the guy said we would have to go back to square one and tell us every visit in the last seven years we had each made to the doctor as if we were just joining Bupa, how is that for customer satisfaction and loyalty to members that have not caused any expense to them ?? We are, needless to say, with another insurer.
