sky hd is a very big ripp off if you want to waste your money on every week non stop repeats and repeats over and over again
i brought my skyhd system in may 2007 liked it at the time and was great sound and picture qualitys but then sky brought out there new epg system was a bad move as it slower then the old epg and keeps freezing my box failed every other day and i had to reboot the box up over and over again in order to get my satelite signal working again and the amount of times i had failed recordings it was unbeliavable and i was paying sky over £46 per month for my service
then i went out to buy a bluray player for my tv and i compared it too sky movies hd and seems the picture quality on my blu ray player was far better picture then sky movies hd and makes me wonder now that are sky really showing hd movies or are they really upscalling them as they seem to have alot of movies that are not even on blu ray disc so how they show something that not been tranformed to hd yet
since then i have phoned sky and told them im leaving for which they were not happy one bit becuase they were losing my service and i was on the phone with them for a least 2 hours to explain i didnt want skyhd no more and the person i was speaking too was trying everything to keep me with them and even offered me 3 months free i still refused as i had every right as i was out of my contract anyway
so after long convincing he accepted my cancellation and then i went out to by a freesat humax pvr system from argos for only £288.93
plugged my satelite cables too it and i have got a better picture better sound and its not costing me anything per month total subscription FREE
and also just joined lovefilm which is fantastic for less then a £10 per month and got my 30 days free and you can choose what you like to watch and no more heavy bills from sky
plus freesat has BBCHD and ITVHD which itvhd is not avaible on skyhd system
so my thoughts to you guys and girls go for freesat and say goodbye to SKY

You cannot expect broadcasters to programme new content at all times. You will find that most channels will show new stuff during prime time viewing hours (i.e. in the evening) and so other times of day - especially the afternoon - must be occupied by old content. The advantage any Sky+ service gives is that you can record new content in the evening from one channel to watch during the next day whilst watching new stuff on another channel. That solves the problem well :) .
